Safety Marshals Extend Patrols to Daytime in Sussex

Sussex’s trusty Safety Marshals, known for keeping nightlife safe, are hitting the streets by day too. Thanks to fresh funding, their patrols will run from Monday 11 August through Sunday 28 September.

Boost for Busy Summer Season

The extended patrols cover key hotspots across the county, aiming to tackle crime and keep the public safe during the bustling summer months. This move supports national efforts and responds to the area’s popularity as a summertime hotspot.

“This extra support over one of our county’s busiest periods will, no doubt, be extremely valuable,” said a Crime Commissioner spokesperson.

Safety First, Day and Night

With daylight hours covered, Sussex residents and visitors can expect a safer environment all day long. The Marshals’ presence is set to ease crime concerns and boost confidence throughout one of the busiest times of the year.
