Birmingham Burglars Nabbed After Spate of Break-Ins
South Worcestershire Police’s Proactive CID Unit cracked down on a crime wave that hit Worcestershire and the West Midlands in late 2020. Starting October, they launched an urgent probe into multiple burglaries, swiftly teaming up with West Midlands Police and West Mercia’s Specialist Traffic and Intelligence Officers.

The hunt ended with the arrest of two Birmingham men chucked behind bars. David Hodges, 41, faced charges for a string of break-ins from July 21 to September 29. He’s now serving four years inside. His mate, 46-year-old Noel Lacey, was convicted for burglaries between August 27 and September 29, receiving 32 months in the slammer.
