Man Brutally Attacked in Manchester City Centre

At around 11.30pm on Friday 15 October 2021, a 34-year-old man was viciously punched in Manchester City Centre.

Assault Sparks After Cigarette Refusal

The victim was walking near Deansgate Interchange and Chester Road roundabout when two men approached him, asking for a cigarette. When he said he had none, one of the men launched a violent attack, landing several punches to the head and face.

The brutal assault left the man with a broken jaw, needing urgent hospital treatment.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detectives have released an e-fit of a suspect they want to question in connection with the attack. They are urging anyone who recognises the man to come forward.
