Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Shocking Gravesend Crash

Police have charged a 28-year-old man with attempted murder following a violent incident in Gravesend.

Serious Assault After Collision in Dering Road

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate arrested Patrick Molloy after a woman was seriously assaulted. The victim was involved in a collision with a car at 10.07am on Sunday 13 May. The woman, who knows Molloy, was rushed to hospital with injuries that are thankfully not life-threatening.

Multiple Charges Hit Patrick Molloy

Molloy, from Springhead Road, now faces a string of charges:

  • Attempted murder
  • Driving without a licence
  • Using a vehicle without third party insurance
  • Failing to provide a specimen for analysis
  • Criminal damage

Man Remanded, Court Date Set

Molloy was detained on suspicion of attempted murder and has been remanded in custody. He is set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 May.
