Five-Year-Old Found in River Thames in Critical Condition

A desperate search ended in tragedy when five-year-old Daniel Alaby was found struggling in the River Thames near Thamesmead, south-east London. The boy was reported missing from his home on Friday, sparking a frantic police hunt.

Frantic Search and Rescue Efforts

The Metropolitan Police say Daniel was last seen playing in his room before vanishing. At around 6:23 pm, officers recovered a child from the river and immediately began CPR before ambulance crews arrived.

Paramedics rushed Daniel to hospital where he remains in critical condition. His family have been informed and are receiving support from authorities during this heartbreaking ordeal.

No Suspicious Circumstances So Far

The police have so far found no evidence of third-party involvement in Daniel’s disappearance or how he ended up in the river.
