Shocking Burglary in Norton: Elderly Woman Tied Up and Threatened

Police are hunting for a ruthless thief who broke into a home in Norton and terrorised a woman in her 70s. The chilling attack happened in the early hours of July 2 at a property on Japonica Way.

Intruder Binds Victim and Steals Bank Card

A male intruder forced his way into the house, tied up the elderly woman’s arms and legs, and stole her bank card. He issued multiple threats before fleeing by climbing over the rear fence. The victim suffered facial injuries and was left in shock.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark fur-lined hooded parka and grey trousers. Officers urge anyone who saw suspicious activity or has CCTV from 3am to 6am to come forward, even if the outfit looks different.

“If you have any information, please contact 101 quoting incident number 129260,” police said.
