Crash Chaos on Canterbury High Street Sparks Police Hunt

Witnesses are being urged to speak up after a blue Renault Clio smashed into a group of pedestrians in Canterbury’s High Street.

Early Hours Mayhem

The incident happened between 2am and 2.25am on Sunday, 4 July 2021, near the Guildhall Street junction. It reportedly followed a verbal row before the car ploughed into the crowd.

Injuries and Arrest

  • Five people were hurt in the collision.
  • Two victims were hospitalised as a precaution.
  • A 28-year-old man was arrested for assault and drink driving.
  • He remains in custody as police continue their probe.
