Kent Police launch urgent appeal after woman grabbed and threatened in Folkestone

Kent Police are hunting a suspect after a woman was grabbed and threatened with violence late on Thursday, 1 May. The terrifying assault happened at 10.40pm on Sandgate Road, Folkestone. Thankfully, the victim was left shaken but unharmed.

Police Release Suspect Description

The man they want to speak to is described as:

  • White male, in his 60s
  • Around 5ft 10in tall
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a pink polo shirt and white trousers

CCTV Footage Reviewed But Witnesses Still Needed

Detectives have combed through CCTV from the area and are appealing to the public for help. If you were near Sandgate Road at the time or recognise the man described, Kent Police urge you to get in touch.

“If you were in the area at the time or recognise the suspect’s description, please contact us,” a Kent Police spokesperson said.
