Kent Police Fund Boosts Autism Charity with £500 Donation
£500 from Seized Goods Auction Helps Kent Autistic Trust
The Kent Autistic Trust has landed a £500 boost thanks to the Kent Police Property Fund. The charity, which supports people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), received the cash from the auction of seized police property.
Police Present Cheque at Margate Station
Detective Chief Inspector Tristan Kluibenschadl handed over the cheque to Autism Information Advisor Wendy Boorman at Margate Police Station. The Property Fund raises money by auctioning off items seized during police operations. Officers then nominate local charities close to their hearts to receive some of the proceeds.
DCI Kluibenschadl said: “The property fund is an excellent way for Kent Police to support local charities. For officers to be able to secure funds for charities close to their hearts makes it even more worthwhile.”
Support from a Police Autism Advocate
DCI Kluibenschadl also serves as a co-ordinator for The National Police Autism Association and acts as an autism ambassador within Kent Police’s disability support group, Crystal Clear.
