Knifeman Nabbed on Oxford Street in Front of Shoppers
Police swooped on a man spotted carrying a knife on London’s busy Oxford Street today. The Metropolitan Police were called at 2:32pm following reports of a suspicious man armed with a blade near Hill Place, close to the Oxford Street junction.
Swift Arrest with No Injuries
The Met confirmed the suspect was detained by 2:40pm. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident. The man was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a weapon.
Five Police Cars Descend on Scene
Eyewitnesses reported seeing five police vehicles arrive as officers made the arrest, drawing a shocked crowd of shoppers.
