Machete Mayhem at East London Pub Leaves Four Stabbed
Chaos erupted at The Duke pub in Wood Street, E17 on Monday night when a brutal machete stabbing sent three men to hospital. Police and emergency crews rushed to the scene at 8.15pm after the horrific attack.
Three Victims Hospitalised, Fourth Arrested
- Officers found three men aged 27 to 42 with stab wounds inside the pub.
- All were taken to an east London hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
- A fourth man, 20, with stab wounds was found nearby on Shernall Street and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Wednesday.
- He remains in hospital under guard.
Police Seek Witnesses as Fear Grips Community
Detective Inspector Laura Crump from Waltham Forest policing said: “Our investigation is making good progress but we still need any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police to come forward. I know this incident has caused significant concern in the community and I would like to reiterate that we believe this was a targeted attack with no wider risk to the public.”
Police are maintaining a strong presence in the area and urge anyone with concerns to approach officers.
