Police nabbed a man driving recklessly on the A2 in Gravesend around midday on Saturday, 27 November 2021. Officers in an unmarked car noticed the van swerving and pulled up alongside.
Driver Ditches Van and Makes Run for It
When the van stopped near Ackers Drive, the driver jumped out and bolted towards the roundabout. A quick-footed officer gave chase and hauled him in.
Huge Haul of £30,000 Cash Found
The man, in his 40s and from the DA1 area, was found carrying a plastic bag stuffed with over £30,000 in cash. He was arrested on suspicion of money laundering, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.
He’s now out under investigation as police continue to dig deeper into the case.
