Tragic Crash on A29 Near Slindon Claims Life of Motorcyclist

A fatal collision on the A29 at Fairmile Bottom near Slindon has left a 50-year-old motorcyclist dead. The smash happened just before 3pm on Wednesday, 14 October.

Motorbike Hits Parked Van After Collision With Car

A black Aprilia motorcycle and a silver Vauxhall Vectra were heading northeast towards Whiteways Roundabout when they collided. The impact sent the Aprilia crashing into a dark Ford Transit van parked in a layby on the opposite side of the road.

The motorcyclist from Hampshire tragically died at the scene.

Vauxhall Driver Arrested for Dangerous Driving

The Vauxhall driver, a 30-year-old man from Storrington, escaped without injury. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has since been released under investigation as police probe the crash.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

Officers are urging anyone who saw the collision or has dash cam footage of the vehicles before the incident to come forward.
