Police Probe Rape of 21-Year-Old Woman in Hythe

Police are investigating a reported rape of a 21-year-old woman that happened between midday on Friday 1 May and 7am Saturday 2 May in Hythe. The incident is believed to have taken place near Prospect Park Place and the wooded area behind Endeavour Way.

Area Searched, Residents Questioned

Officers have scoured the scene and visited local homes to gather information. The woman, from the New Forest, is receiving support from specialist officers as the investigation continues.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Matthews urged anyone in the area during the time frame to report any suspicious activity. He said:

“If you were in Prospect Park Place or Endeavour Way between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and saw anything unusual, please contact us.

“Dash cam footage from drivers in Hythe during that period could be crucial.

“You might not think what you saw is important, but it could help us understand what happened.”
