Young Man Fatally Shot in Shepherds Bush
Tragedy struck in Rosebank Way, W3, in the early hours of Thursday, January 26th. Police were called at 2:15 a.m. to reports of a seriously injured man. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, 23-year-old Fernando Johnson from Shepherds Bush was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gunshot Wound Confirmed as Cause of Death
A post-mortem on January 27 confirmed Fernando died from a gunshot wound. His grieving family has been informed, with specially trained officers providing support.
Suspect Arrested and Released on Bail
Police arrested a man in his late twenties on suspicion of murder on Saturday, January 28. He has since been released on bail while inquiries continue.
Police Launch Web Portal to Gather Evidence
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Denby, leading the investigation, urged locals to check any doorbell or dash cam footage for clues. He said:
“My team are making good progress, but we need the public’s help. Even footage you think is insignificant could be vital.”
