Six Arrested in Major Class A Drug Bust Across London
Police swooped on seven addresses in Islington, Camden, and Peckham at dawn on Tuesday 13 December. The raids were carefully planned strikes against a notorious drugs network.
Targets Caught in Conspiracy to Supply Class A Drugs
Four men, aged 21 to 57, and two women, aged 29 to 34, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine. All six suspects remain in custody.
The investigation exposed how vulnerable addicts in Islington are being exploited to peddle drugs on behalf of the ring leaders.
Huge Haul of Drugs, Cash, and Stolen Goods Recovered
Officers seized a significant amount of Class A drugs, cash, and valuable items believed to be the proceeds of crime.
Detective Inspector Baker from the Dedicated Drugs and Gangs Squad said: “These arrests are the result of months of work by detectives committed to removing drugs from London’s streets and protecting the vulnerable from exploitation.
“We know the devastating impact drugs can have on individuals and communities. Drug supply fuels violent crime, antisocial behaviour, and theft. By targeting these criminals and working with the public and our partners, we can make Camden and Islington safer places to live, visit, and work.”
