Brentford Blaze Claims Life of Ali Khan, 34
For the first time, we have a picture of Ali Khan, 34, who tragically died in a devastating fire in Brentford. The deadly blaze ripped through a house on Netley Road just after 4pm on Sunday, November 13.
Tragic Toll: Man Dead, Two Hospitalised, and 16 Cats Missing
The fire completely destroyed the two-storey home, which also housed 16 cats – all now feared dead after going missing in the chaos. Firefighters found Ali’s body on the ground floor. Despite their best efforts, he was declared dead at the scene.
Two women were rescued and rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews. One woman, aged 70 and homeless, remains in an induced coma. Another fled before firefighters arrived and was later hospitalised. Nearby properties were evacuated for safety.
Family Heartbreak: Mother Pays Heartfelt Tribute
“I’m staying strong because my son struggled with mental health issues,” said Ali’s mother, Bobbie Wason, 65. “He was an alcoholic, but I always promised I wouldn’t cry when he died – and I haven’t. I know he’s in a better place now. I just ask people to pray for my son.”
Bobbie, who has two daughters and three sons, was also admitted to hospital after the fire.
Investigation Underway as Firefighters Battle Blaze
The London Fire Brigade took over two hours to put out the inferno. They had to remove gas cylinders from the property during their operation. A joint investigation with the Met Police has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade confirmed: “A man has sadly died following a house fire on Netley Road in Brentford. The fire severely damaged the property. The man was found on the ground floor and declared dead at the scene.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson added: “Officers were called at about 4.05pm on Sunday, November 13, to reports of a fire inside a flat on Netley Road. Emergency services remain on scene.”
