Man Brutally Attacked with Baseball Bat in Broad Daylight
Shocking violence erupted in Halifax on Tuesday afternoon as a man was viciously assaulted with a baseball bat on Norfolk Place. The attack happened around 2pm, with the victim left seriously injured.
Suspect Arrived by Car Before Swinging Bat
Witnesses say the attacker pulled up in a car, then stepped out and struck the pedestrian multiple times, targeting his hands and legs. A passerby quickly came to the victim’s aid until paramedics rushed him to hospital, where he remains seriously hurt.
Police Make Arrest, Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
West Yorkshire Police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the assault. He has since been released pending further enquiries. Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw the attack or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
