Woman Raped in Layby on A4 Thatcham – Police Hunt Stranger Suspect

Victim Acted After Spotting Empty Child’s Car Seat
Detective Inspector Alice Broad revealed the victim had stopped her car after noticing an empty child’s car seat in the layby. She grew concerned a child might be at risk. It’s still unclear if the car seat is linked to the assault.
“The victim has given a full account and is supported by specially trained officers. We believe the offender was unknown to her,” said DI Broad.
