Brave PC Battles Knife-Wielding Attacker in Shocking Burglary Stand-Off
Officer Stabbed While Trying to Help
PC Daniel Stride was stabbed multiple times by a psychotic drug user during a burglary call. The officer was on patrol with a colleague when they received a report of a suspected break-in.
Arriving at a darkened property, concern grew over the caller’s mental state. As they waited for an ambulance, the man suddenly pulled a large kitchen knife from his bedside drawer and stabbed PC Stride twice in the chest. Thankfully, his body armour took the brunt of the blows.
Quick-Thinking Officer Fights Back
With his hands restrained, PC Stride couldn’t reach his protective gear. Instead, he grabbed the knife, suffering cuts to his fingers, before managing to pin the attacker to the bed.
