Back Door Smashed in Break-In
Police are hunting for witnesses after a burglary at a house on Maynard Avenue, Margate. Between the night of Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 April 2019, thieves smashed the back door and forced their way inside.
Cash and Rare Chilean Notes Stolen
PC Mark Huttley revealed the victim lost a sum of money – along with a stash of Chilean 100 Peso notes. These bills are no longer legal tender, making them easy to spot if anyone tries to swap them for sterling.
“I would urge anyone who may have been offered the notes to get in touch,” said PC Huttley.
