Drug Dealer and Dangerous Driver Caged for Two and a Half Years
Patrik Jankoczky, 21, from Benson Close, Reading, has been slammed with a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday (23 March).
He pleaded guilty to three serious charges: dangerous driving, possession with intent to supply heroin, and possession with intent to supply cocaine.
High-Speed Escape Ends in Crash
On 17 July 2019, cops spotted Jankoczky sitting behind the wheel on Chepstow Road, Tilehurst. When officers approached, he sped off, mounting a curb and crashing into an oncoming car.
The unlucky victim, a woman in her sixties, suffered minor injuries.
Drugs and Cash Found in Car
A search of Jankoczky’s vehicle uncovered a stash of heroin, cocaine, cash, and phones. He was arrested the same day and finally charged in December 2020.
He was also hit with a driving ban lasting three years and three months, and must pass a re-test before hitting the road again.
Police Warn Drug Dealers: We’re Coming for You
“I’m pleased Jankoczky has been sentenced,” said PC Nicholas Wilkinson from Newbury police station. “This should serve as a warning to anyone thinking of dealing drugs about the serious consequences.
“Thames Valley Police will not tolerate drug supply and will actively hunt down offenders to protect the community.”
