Teen Murdered in Shocking Knife Attack at East Croydon Station
Detectives have named the victim of a brutal stabbing at East Croydon station as 16-year-old Louis Johnson. Although formal ID is still pending, police believe the teenager is Louis. Officers were called to the scene just before 5pm yesterday alongside the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance.
Stabbed on Station Overbridge in Broad Daylight
Investigations reveal Louis entered the station through the Ruskin Square ticket barrier around 4.30pm. Moments later, on the overbridge inside the station, a suspect confronted him and suddenly pulled out a knife, stabbing Louis multiple times. The attack was over within 40 seconds. Louis tragically died shortly after the assault. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for the coming days.
Family Devastated as Police Hunt Killer
Louis’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained liaison officers. No arrests have been made yet, but British Transport Police are treating the killing as a top priority.
“This was a senseless killing at an extremely busy time of day, and my thoughts are with Louis’s family at this painfully difficult time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Sam Blackburn. “For such a young man to lose his life like this is truly devastating. We are conducting a thorough investigation and urge anyone with information or footage to come forward urgently.”
