Objects Thrown from Bridge Smash Several Cars on Busy Footpath
Chaos erupted around 7pm on Tuesday, 13 December 2022, when reckless individuals hurled objects from the Crab and Winkle footpath bridge. Several cars were hit. One vehicle’s panoramic sunroof was smashed, while another suffered a dented bonnet.
Police Warn of Dangerous Behaviour
Sergeant Stephen Wells slammed the dangerous stunt: “Throwing items from heights towards oncoming vehicles is extremely dangerous. It’s pure luck no one was seriously hurt.”
He added the police are hunting the culprits. “We’re appealing for anyone with info or dashcam footage to come forward,” said Sgt Wells.
