Woman Sexually Assaulted on Quiet Path in Broad Daylight
A disturbing incident unfolded at around 6.20pm on Wednesday, 4 May 2022, when a woman was approached and sexually assaulted by a man on a path between Merton Lane North and Stuppington Lane.
Suspect Flees on Electric Bike
The attacker reportedly made abusive comments before fleeing the scene on a bicycle, believed to be electric. Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male, about 5ft 8ins tall, in his early 20s. He wore a dark blue hooded jumper, black trousers, and a bandana.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Kent Police are investigating and keen to speak to anyone who was nearby and saw suspicious behaviour. They are especially eager to contact a man seen walking his dog around the time of the attack.
