Teen Arrested After Man Found Dead with Serious Injuries in Dorset
Dorset Police were called to 6 Heath Road at 7.53pm on Tuesday, 4 January 2022, amid concerns for the welfare of a man in his 30s. Officers arrived to discover the man dead, suffering from serious injuries.
16-Year-Old Boy Held on Suspicion of Murder
A 16-year-old boy from Christchurch has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries in this unfolding investigation.
Calls for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
“We have been progressing with our detailed investigation since the tragic death and have now made an arrest,” said Detective Inspector Simon Huxter of the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT).
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who sadly died. Our specially-trained officers continue to support them and keep them updated on developments.”
“Anyone who was in the Heath Road area between Saturday 1 January and Tuesday 4 January 2022 and saw suspicious activity or anything out of the ordinary should get in touch.”
“We’re also appealing to local residents with home CCTV or dashcam footage from the timeframe to check their recordings for anything relevant.”
“Finally, if you know the occupant of 6 Heath Road, please come forward – you might hold crucial information.”
