Gerwyn Williams Nabbed with Heroin and Cocaine
Gerwyn Williams, 62, from Reading, has been slapped with a three-year prison sentence for drug supply. The Reading Crown Court sentenced him on 13 April after he pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply earlier this year.
Police Stop Driver, Find Drugs Hidden in Sock
On 26 January, Thames Valley Police pulled over Williams’ black Vauxhall Mokka on Lower Earley Way. A search revealed four wraps of crack cocaine and eight wraps of heroin cleverly hidden in his sock. Officers also seized a phone and £160 in cash.
Raid Uncovers Massive Stash Worth Nearly £4,500
Following the roadside bust, police executed a warrant at Williams’ home. Inside, they uncovered 47 wraps of crack cocaine, plus a separate bag containing 40.7g of heroin and another small wrap of crack. Altogether, the drugs’ street value was around £4,480.

“Our team will target and prosecute offenders like Williams,” said PC James Dunwell of the Reading Proactive team. “We use both visible and covert tactics to disrupt drug supply in our community. Public tips are vital for building these cases.”
