Man Charged with Sexual Assault at Brighton Nightclub
A 46-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault after two women reported being touched without consent at a nightclub in Pool Valley, Brighton.
Incident Caught on Security Staff’s Watch
The shocking episode took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Security staff at the club promptly detained the man after he was seen approaching women aggressively on the dancefloor.
Victims Urged to Speak Out
The women told police that the man, identified as Yonas Mebrehatom of Elm Grove, grabbed them and sexually assaulted them before security intervened.
A spokesperson praised the swift action by club staff. She also urged anyone who has faced similar harassment to come forward: “You will be listened to, believed, and we will take action.”
