Three Men Busted for Stalking in Kent Police Crackdown
Kent Police have made a strong move against violence towards women and girls by charging three men with stalking offences. The arrests come after rigorous investigations into separate cases.
Stalkers Named and Charged
- Oliver Simon, 30, of Warden Road, Rochester – charged with stalking and causing serious alarm or distress.
- Mark Baines, 63, of Carlton Crescent, Chatham – charged with stalking without fear of physical harm and breaching a non-molestation order three times.
- Anthony Luck, 46, of Coronation Road, Chatham – charged with stalking causing serious alarm, threatening to share private sexual images, and four counts of criminal damage.
All victims knew the suspects personally.
Court Appearances and Sentences
The trio appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 9 and 10.
- Oliver Simon received a 12-month community order plus 200 hours of community service.
- Anthony Luck was granted bail; his next hearing is set for August 25.
- Mark Baines was remanded in custody and will face Maidstone Crown Court on February 7, 2023.
