Sir David Attenborough Returns with New BBC Wildlife Series ‘Dynasty’
Sir David Attenborough is back on BBC One with a brand-new wildlife series made by the team behind the smash-hit Planet Earth II. The five-part show, called Dynasty, follows five iconic animals—a lion, hunting dog, chimpanzee, tiger, and emperor penguin—during life’s most critical moments as they defend their families, territories, and legacies.
Four Years in the Making
BBC content chief Charlotte Moore revealed, “Four years in the making, capturing extraordinary animal behaviours, Dynasty offers intimate dramas that we hope will connect with audiences just like Blue Planet II and Planet Earth II did.”
Tom McDonald, BBC’s head of natural history commissioning, added, “This series takes a totally unique approach, drawing viewers deep into the lives of these creatures. Having Sir David’s incredible storytelling on board turns this into a gripping, landmark project about our planet at a crucial turning point.”
