Woman Spiked at Heywood Pub – Police Hunt Mystery Man

Police in Rochdale are urgently appealing for info after a suspected spiking incident rocked The Dressers Arms pub in Heywood on Friday, August 4, at around 10pm. The shocking event has sent ripples of fear through the local nightlife scene, sparking a call for heightened vigilance.

Who Is the Mystery Man?

Officers are keen to speak to a black male, believed to be in his mid-20s, slim build, with short black hair. He was spotted wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Cops say this man could have key information to crack the case.

Dizzy and Distressed: The Victim’s Story

The female victim was approached by an unknown man at the bar. Soon after, she felt dizzy and unwell. The next morning, she found what looked like an injection mark on her thigh – a terrifying sign she was likely spiked without realising it at the time.

Detective Inspector Sam Taylor, from GMP’s Rochdale CID, warned: “It’s vital to stay alert when out having fun. Operation Lioness is our summer crackdown, with extra uniformed and plainclothes patrols to protect the public.”
