Armed Police and Helicopter Descend on Milton Keynes Blade Standoff
Tension gripped New Bradwell, Milton Keynes, on Friday afternoon as armed officers and a police helicopter swooped in following a public order incident involving a bladed weapon.
Massive Police Response to Meads Close Scuffle
At 2.36pm on 2 January 2026, Thames Valley Police flooded Meads Close after reports of a violent brawl involving several men. Witnesses saw a large fight escalated with weapons, prompting around 10 armed officers to surround a boat and a nearby house before eventually standing down.
“There was a large-scale fight with weapons & roughly 10 armed officers attended, they surrounded a boat and a house then stood down and left,” said an anonymous onlooker.
No Injuries as Investigation Kicks Off
Police confirmed the incident involved two men and a victim, a man in his twenties. One man was seen brandishing a bladed article, but miraculously no one was hurt. Despite the drama, no arrests have been made so far.
Police Call for Witnesses to Come Forward
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said:
“An investigation has been launched and no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information should call 101 or report online quoting reference 43260002069.”
