In a dramatic rescue operation, the Selsey Coastguard team responded to an emergency call at 2.33pm 27th of May, reporting a child being blown out to sea on an inflatable toy off East Beach, Selsey. The Selsey Inshore Lifeboat was also dispatched to the scene.

- Follow the lifeguards’ advice.
- Avoid taking inflatables out in big waves.
- Do not use when the orange windsock is flying, indicating offshore winds.
