Attempted Bike Robbery Shakes Goring Road
Police are on the hunt after an attempted motorbike robbery on Goring Road at around 3:15 PM on Friday, June 28.
Thugs Armed with Screwdrivers and Crowbar
Three suspects reportedly threatened the motorbike owner with screwdrivers and a crowbar. Despite a large search operation, cops failed to catch the culprits.
Thankfully, no property was stolen, and no one was hurt during the scare.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Out
Chief Inspector James Davidson reassured the community, saying: “This incident is understandably concerning for the community but I’d like to reassure the public that these types of incidents are rare and an increased police presence should be expected in the area.”
He added: “Officers were swiftly on the scene and our teams are working hard to identify and locate those involved.”
The cops are calling on anyone who witnessed the event or has relevant footage to come forward. Witnesses can contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 828 of 28/06.
Police Warn Against Spreading Speculation
Authorities also reminded the public that this remains an active investigation. Chief Inspector Davidson urged: “Please refrain from sharing or speculating online about anything that could prejudice criminal proceedings.”
