Girl, 6, Hurt by Projectile in Pulborough Park

Police are hunting witnesses after a six-year-old girl was struck in the face by a flying projectile in Pulborough.

Shocking Attack Near School Playground

The incident occurred around 3pm on Monday, October 5, while the girl was playing in the park opposite St Mary’s Infant School on Link Lane. The projectile narrowly missed her eye but hit her face, causing injury.

She was rushed to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Teen Arrested but Now Free Under Investigation

A 13-year-old boy was swiftly arrested on suspicion of attempting grievous bodily harm and carrying an offensive weapon in public. However, he has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

There were several people in the park at the time. Police want anyone who saw the attack or knows anything to speak up.
