Man Charged After Knife Attack Outside London Pub
Ben Huntley, 40, from Camden, has been charged with wounding with intent (Section 18 GBH) and possession of a bladed article. He surrendered at a police station on Thursday, 11 January following a media appeal.
Serious Face Slash After Pub Row
The incident dates back to 26 April 2023, when a 33-year-old man was watching a football match in a pub on Tollington Park around 8.30pm. A brief verbal altercation broke out with another man, who allegedly pulled a knife and slashed the victim’s face. The attack left a deep cut running from the victim’s left cheek to his lip.
The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics. Although his injuries were not deemed life-threatening, he continues to receive treatment for the serious facial wound.
Suspect Arrested After Police Appeal
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. After extensive investigations, officers launched a public appeal on 7 January. Now, Huntley has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 13 January.
