Sex Pistols’ John Lydon Drops F-Bomb Live on ITV’s This Morning

John Lydon, the notorious frontman of the Sex Pistols, shocked viewers this morning by swearing live on ITV’s This Morning. The 66-year-old punk legend was a guest alongside hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary to discuss the new Sex Pistols biopic series — a show he openly dislikes.

Raw and Unfiltered: Lydon Swears on Live TV

Despite the early hour, Lydon made no effort to hold back. While chatting about director Danny Boyle’s new series, Lydon suddenly snapped, “You ar**hole,” to which Alison and Dermot shared stunned looks. Alison quickly apologised, saying, “Sorry about that,” while Dermot sighed and added his own apologies for the language.

Fans Expect the Outbursts, Not Surprised by Lydon’s Rebel Outburst

Twitter users weren’t fazed by the profanity. One fan, @Josneat, tweeted: “Johnny was always going to swear! I believe he has been quite restrained!” Another, @Bluebazza58, said, “Felt very edgy watching John Lydon on This Morning. I was waiting for the expletive. Fortunately, only ‘a**hole’ was heard. Not sure how they can make a biopic without his blessing. He’s one of a kind.”

@Underwulde123 added: “John Lydon on This Morning at 11:15am talking about Disney’s new Sex Pistols biopic, which he obviously isn’t happy with. Fruity language for morning telly!”

Lydon’s Brutal Take on the Sex Pistols Biopic

John has been vocal about his dislike for the new series. He told The Mirror the show is “too sleazy” and criticised its focus on former bandmate Steve Jones’ memoir, which reveals Jones’ sex addiction.

“It’s upsetting because a lot of it has sexual connotations that are dubious at best. They chose the wrong end of the spectrum to make a splash. I believe the Pistols are of much higher quality than that.”

He slammed the producers for cutting him out of the project. “Cutting me out is a shockingly stupid move. They can all go f*** themselves. Except for me, none of these f***s would have a job.”

Danny Boyle Responds: “We Tried to Involve Him”

Director Danny Boyle hit back, saying, “John complains we didn’t approach him. We did approach him, and I’d have loved to have him involved.”

The punk godfather’s blunt honesty and sharp tongue show he’s still as fiery as ever — whether fans love it or hate it.
