Detectives Investigating The Murder Of Gabriel Petrov Stoyanov In Downham Have Made Two Further Arrests

  Late on Friday, 11 November, a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He was taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody. On Saturday, 12 November, a 16-year-old male  attended a south London police station. He was arrested on suspicion of murder, and also remains in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen, from Specialist Crime, said: “Our investigation into Gabriel’s murder remains ongoing, and I would like to thank the public for the help that they have provided to my team. We have now located a male who we previously named in a wanted appeal. “Whilst four people have now been arrested, with two of those charged, I am still keen to hear from anyone with information who has not yet come forward. Did you see or hear anything? Please make the call.” A murder investigation was launched after Gabriel was stabbed in Bromley Road, Downham following an incident shortly before midnight on Friday, 4 November. Officers attended along with colleagues from the London Ambulance Service. They found 21-year-old Gabriel suffering stab injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment but died during the afternoon of Saturday, 5 November. Anyone with information or any witnesses who are yet to speak with police are asked to call 101, quoting reference CAD 8645/04Nov. To remain anonymous, please contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Two males, aged 14  and 17  were charged with murder on Friday, 11 November. They appeared at Bexley Youth Court on the same day. They were remanded into the care of the local authority and will appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 15 November.
