An 89-year-old man has tragically died after being struck by a car on Roman Way, Crayford, earlier this month.
The incident occurred shortly after 1 pm on January 3, prompting a swift response from Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
Road Closed During Emergency Response
A section of the one-way road, which splits into three lanes near the entrance to Sainsbury’s, was cordoned off while emergency services attended the scene.
The injured man was taken as a priority to a major trauma centre. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
No Arrests Made
The police have confirmed there have been no arrests so far. Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
