Liam Gallagher Knebworth Gig Chaos: Fans Spill on Motorway, Drivers Fined

Fined for Using A1(M) as Drop-Off Zone

Ex-Oasis star Liam Gallagher rocked Knebworth for two nights, but the event was marred by traffic mayhem. On Friday, Hertfordshire Police hit drivers with fixed penalty notices for using the A1(M) motorway as a drop-off point. Fans were warned this “would not be tolerated” and told to stick to official on-site parking.

Major Road Shutdown After Gig Madness

Things got worse on Saturday when the A1(M) was shut down in both directions for two hours. National Highways East confirmed the closure was due to a “police incident” after crowds spilled on to the carriageway, forcing officers to step in for safety.

Festival Organisation Slammed

Attendees slammed the entire event’s management as “a shambles,” pointing to poor crowd control and traffic chaos. Festival Republic, the organiser, has been approached for comment but is yet to respond.
