Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Dead in Thame

Thames Valley Police have launched a murder investigation after a 20-year-old man was found injured and later pronounced dead in Thame.

Tragic Scene on Chinnor Road

At around 7.05pm on 22 July, officers were called to Chinnor Road where the victim was discovered. Despite efforts, the young man died at the scene.

Detective Inspector Mike Roddy of the Major Crime Unit urged locals to come forward. “We are in the very early stages of this murder investigation. Our thoughts go out to the family of the man who has sadly died,” he said.

Police Seek Witnesses and Video Evidence

Police want to speak to a group of young men spotted nearby at the time of the incident. They believe witnesses or anyone who filmed events may hold vital information.

“If you saw anything suspicious around Chinnor Road or Essex Road, please get in touch. If you have footage, please do not share it on social media — instead send it directly to the police,” said DI Roddy.

Officers have warned such content could be traumatic for the victim’s family and friends.
