All flights to and from Metro Manila have been abruptly cancelled due to a radar malfunction or shutdown on Monday 20th May 2024. The unexpected disruption has left travellers stranded and airlines scrambling to manage the situation.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) issued an advisory earlier today, announcing the suspension of flight operations due to technical issues at the Air Navigation Facilities of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). The CAAP is currently implementing emergency protocols to address the situation and restore normal flight operations as quickly as possible.
