Lewisham Care Worker Arrested in Jamaica for Alleged Drug Smuggling

A Lewisham care worker, 53-year-old Mitzie Graham, has reportedly been arrested at an airport in Jamaica under allegations of attempting to smuggle cocaine into London. Officials allegedly found over £100,000 worth of drugs concealed within powdered drink tins in her luggage.

The arrest took place on January 18 at Norman Manley International Airport as Mitzie attempted to board a flight to London. Officials reportedly discovered approximately 4.8 kilograms of cocaine with a street value exceeding $20 million (Jamaican) or roughly £114,000, hidden within tins of Lasco drink powder.
