Blaze Breaks Out at West Drayton Foundry
Four fire engines and 25 firefighters rushed to a foundry fire on Horton Close, West Drayton, late last night. The blaze damaged part of the ground floor of the metal workshop, which has offices above.
Smoke Sparks Emergency Call
An employee at a neighbouring business spotted smoke after sniffing out a burning smell. They went outside, spotted smoke pouring from the side windows, and dialled 999 without delay.
Fire Under Control Within 80 Minutes
The London Fire Brigade received the alert at 10.31pm. Crews from Hayes, Hillingdon, Heathrow, and Feltham stations tackled the flames and had them under control by 11.51pm. Luckily, no injuries were reported.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
