Today (30 July), shortly after 2 p.m., a silver Honda Jazz travelling from Whitby collided with a black Mazda campervan travelling in the opposite direction near the Hayburn Wyke turn.
Sadly, the female driver of the Honda Jazz was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female driver of the campervan was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
We’re looking for anyone who saw either vehicle in the area before the collision, as well as anyone who has dashcam footage or other information that could help the investigation.
