Daylight Hammer and Knife Robbery on North Circular Road: Police Hunting Four Men on Mopeds
Shocking Attack Near Henley’s Corner
Police are urgently seeking information after a brazen robbery on the North Circular Road (A406) in Finchley. Around 6:25pm on Saturday, 2 June, two men driving a Mazda RX5 were stopped near the junction with the A1 and Henley’s Corner when disaster struck.
Four suspects on two mopeds pulled up on either side of the stationary car. They demanded the victims hand over their watches. One thug wielded a hammer, the other flashed a large ‘zombie-style’ knife.
Luxury Watches Stolen, Victim Injured
The men grabbed an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with a blue face and a Fossil watch. One suspect then jumped onto the Mazda, smashing the windscreen with two kicks before fleeing westbound along the A406 towards Brent Cross.
The 27-year-old driver suffered a knife cut to his arm and was treated in hospital before being discharged. No arrests have been made yet.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Constable Oliver Kotis of Barnet CID said: “This was a shocking attack on innocent people in broad daylight. We’re determined to catch these violent criminals, but we need the public’s help.”
