Tragedy on the Roads: Man, 80, Dies in Crane-Car Crash
An 80-year-old man tragically died today after a collision involving a crane and a car on 20th July. Emergency crews rushed to the scene but sadly could not save him.
Woman in 70s Seriously Injured
A woman in her 70s, who was travelling with the man, suffered serious injuries. She is now receiving hospital treatment but her condition is not believed to be life-threatening. Thankfully, no one else was hurt.
Road Closure and Ongoing Investigations
The road was shut soon after the crash and will stay closed until at least 11pm tonight while police carry out investigations and recover the crane.
Police Ask Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage of the moments before or during the collision to get in touch immediately.
