Tragic Crash: 80-Year-Old Man Dies in Crane-Car Collision
Fatal Accident Shakes Local Community
An 80-year-old man has died following a serious collision involving a crane and a car today, 20th July. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but sadly the man was pronounced dead at once.
Woman Injured, Road Closed for Hours
A woman in her 70s, who was traveling in the same vehicle, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She is currently receiving treatment in hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities shut the road shortly after the crash. It is expected to remain closed until at least 11pm as officers conduct initial investigations and clear the crane.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the incident or the vehicles involved to come forward. This could prove vital to their investigation.
