Tragic Motorbike Crash Claims Life of 16-Year-Old Boy in Slough
A 16-year-old boy has died after a motorbike crash outside the Liquid Leisure Centre in Datchet on Saturday, October 19. The horrific smash happened at 4:07 PM on Horton Road and left two teenagers seriously injured.
Chaos at the Scene: Rumours of Chase and Bus Involvement Denied
Thames Valley Police rushed to the scene, taking both injured teens to hospital. Sadly, one of the boys passed away the next day. His family is being supported by specially trained liaison officers.
Detective Inspector Stuart May addressed swirling rumours that a bus or police chase were involved. “These reports are false,” he stated, but investigations now point to a car possibly being part of the crash.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder and Attempted Murder
A 56-year-old man from Datchet was first arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and dangerous driving causing serious injury. After further inquiries, he was re-arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. The suspect remains in police custody as the probe continues.
“First and foremost, my thoughts are with the families and friends of the two victims, one of whom sadly died in hospital this afternoon,” said Detective Inspector May.
Police Seek Witnesses to Aid Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the crash to come forward and assist the investigation.
