Tragic Death of Salisbury Biker Stephen Cooke
Stephen Cooke, 66, from Dilton Marsh, died at the scene after a solo motorbike crash on the A36 near Salisbury on Thursday night (08/10). The fatal collision happened just before 9pm between Wilton and South Newton.
Family Pay Heartfelt Tribute
His daughter, Alice Cooke, shared a moving tribute, saying:
“There aren’t enough words to describe this incredible man who was not only a dad but a good friend to us all, because we’re such a close-knit family.”
“Dad was a force of nature – talented and full of life. He loved adventure and had an energetic, free spirit. He wasn’t afraid to take risks and brought happiness in his own unique, creative way.”
“He was passionate about motorbikes, riding throughout his life. He was also musically gifted – singing, leading choirs, and playing the church organ, most recently at St Mary’s, Bathwick.”
“Stephen crafted musical instruments with his own hands and worked alongside his son in a family business restoring church organs, showcasing his incredible skill.”
“We will all deeply miss him, but his spirit and zest for life will live on in our memories.”
